Why you feel guilty after setting boundaries?

Because many people were conditioned to believe that saying “no” was disrespectful, selfish, or wrong.

In toxic relationships, you are often rewarded for overgiving and punished for protecting yourself. Over time, your brain begins to associate boundaries with fear, rejection, or conflict.

But healthy relationships respect limits.

Healthy people do not require you to abandon yourself to keep the peace.

Feeling guilty after setting a boundary does not mean you did something wrong. It often means you are finally breaking an unhealthy pattern.
