The Person Closest to You Can Hurt You Most
The deepest wounds usually don’t come from strangers — they come from people we love, trust, and open our hearts to. When someone close to you repeatedly hurts, belittles, manipulates, or triggers your pain, it cuts deeper because they have access to your heart.
God never intended for love to feel like emotional warfare. Toxic behavior isn’t “normal conflict,” and abuse doesn’t become okay just because the person is close to you. If you find yourself constantly confused, walking on eggshells, or questioning your worth, that’s a sign something isn’t healthy.
You are allowed to protect your peace.
You are allowed to set boundaries.
You are allowed to heal — even if the person hurting you is someone you love.
If this message hits home, I invite you to join my Toxic Relationships Workshop where we break down toxic patterns, narcissistic abuse, and how to begin healing without guilt or shame.
