Because leaving a toxic relationship physically doesn’t always mean you’ve detached emotionally.
A trauma bond can form through a repeated cycle of hurt, apology, affection, hope—and hurt again.
So instead of asking, “What’s wrong with me?” ask:
“What happens inside me right before I go back?”
Is it loneliness? Guilt? Fear? Or hope that this time they’ll finally change?
Remember: Missing someone doesn’t mean they’re safe for you.
